One of the docs at work has a young son with a passion for rearing chickens. They're not ordinary chickens, mind you, and they don't live in an ordinary chicken coop. They are various breeds of exotic chickens who live in the Taj Mahal of chicken coops which is about 30 feet long, with misters to keep them cool when its hot and automatic lights to extend their laying times. Anyway, he called me yesterday with a plea to let everyone know that he needs empty egg cartons and I asked him if he was selling them. Here's the result. Organic eggs at $1 per dozen and some wonderful green ones included. He did tell us what type of chickens they came from, but I couldn't remember the proper name except the mongrel variety of that chicken is known as the "Easter Egg Chicken."
Anyway, I also found the cartoon below that shows how decorated Easter eggs are REALLY made! How funny!
