The Facts of Life

I was pretty tired after work yesterday so I decided to have a nice hot bath. No sooner had I shooed the grand kids out and climbed in than I heard an almighty ruckus outside the door. Katelynn wanted a bath too, so like all nice Grandmas do, I told Brent to let her in. She ran over to the bath tub and got her clothes off all by herself quick sharp. I like hot water, but that didn't deter her; she sat on the edge with her feet dangling in until she gradually got used to it and then climbed in with Grandma. "Ooh, that's a big tummy", she said. "It's not a tummy darling, it's a breast" I replied. "A breast" she said. "Yes, a breast. Mammy has them too. When you're a big girl, you'll have them as well." We then had a conversation about who has breasts, a little difficult as me, Katelynn and her mammy are the only girls in the house, so the answer was that everyone else did not have breasts. Not Grandad, not Daddy, not Uncle Michael nor Uncle Jordan. "Does Donny have breasts?" she asked. "No, Donny doesn't have breasts. He's a boy". Whatever next?
Today we were in Kohls. "What's that Grandma?" "A bra" I replied. "A bra?" "Yes, a bra". "Oooh, look at that pretty bra" she exclaimed as we weaved in and out of the bra section. "I like that bra. This is a pretty bra too Grandma" she said as she was picking bras off the rails. I noticed that she had a tendency for black ones. Does that mean anything? I picked a bra for myself, a white one, but no, "No Grandma. I like this bra. It's a pretty bra." Once again, she picked me a black and blue swirly patterned one. I declined and returned it to the rail.
She's just turned three. Am I supposed to be talking about breasts and bras?
