I really don't sit down very often to watch TV, but right at the moment I admit that my Monday nights are taken up with Dancing with the Stars and The Bachelor. I have watched DWTS for a few seasons now as I have always loved to watch dance since I saw A Chorus Line when I was 15, but The Bachelor is a show I NEVER thought I'd watch. I'd seen clips of it before and I wanted to vomit as I watched a mansion full of girls drooling for the attentions of a guy who always loved himself first and foremost. And when he would say "So and so, will you take this rose", ugh! After all, what type of person is it who wants to find their marriage partner through a reality show?
But this season has a 27 year old Brit, Matt Grant, as The Bachelor and maybe I'm just sucked into this, but, I really don't think he is obnoxious or vain. I really think he is down to earth and wants this to succeed. This week there were 6 Bachelorettes and he had to whittle it down to 4 and Brent and I were absolutely right in our guesses as to who the 2 unlucky ladies would be. Frankly, I was glad to see the back of both of them. As to who will win their Prince Charming? We haven't decided yet, so I guess we'd better keep watching.
