Mam's Memorial

April 9th would have been my sweet mother in law's 75th birthday. When she died last August, none of us were able to go to her funeral in England and we weren't even all together as a family, so we weren't able to say goodbye as a family. With Olivia moving back to Arizona last month, we thought that Grandma's birthday would be the ideal opportunity to have a small "memorial" for her. Nothing fancy, no hymns or prayers, just us taking time to get together and say "We Love You, Grandma"
We managed to find 30 minutes in our busy lives to gather at Discovery Park here in Gilbert to take a few pictures, send white balloons to heaven and just spend some time walking around the park with each other.

This is a rare picture of all of us together. The sun was shining brightly in our faces making us all look rather grumpy, but we weren't at all. The children didn't like any of the photo taking (nor did Brent) as they just wanted to be off running and going to see the ducks, so it is what it is.
Each of us sent a white balloon up to Grandma in heaven,,,eleven in total. It looked beautiful. They went so high that eventually they just looked like bright stars in a blue sky.

I even found time to tease Brent a little and Jordan snapped this picture of us.
Here is a collage of the rest of the time we spent at the park.

What a beautiful way to remember a beautiful woman. It's lovely to see your family all together for her.

That's lovely, Grandma would of loved that!I tried calling granda many times that day, but he wasn't picking up the phone. Spoke to him since and he's doing fine.
